Mike Esterman blasts Wendy Williams for calling him ‘childish’ after split
After splitting up with Wendy Williams, Mike Esterman has started a war on his former lover. The 38-year-old has launched a series of scathing attacks on the talk show host in the hope of getting back at her for humiliating him and threatening to reveal his personal life to the world.
He has accused her of being ‘desperate’, ‘mean’ and ‘vindictive’. He also accuses her of being ‘vain and egotistical’ and goes as far as claiming she is a bully who is obsessed with fame.
Esterman and Williams have been through a lot in the past year. Last October, after their first child was born, the couple split. Since then, Esterman said he’s been sleeping on the couch at his ex-wife’s house. He’s also been unable to find a job and has spent his days working as a waiter at Red Lobster, where he makes minimum wage.
In an interview with The Mirror last month, Esterman said: “I’m not a child. I’ve never been a child. She’s not being nice to me because she doesn’t like me or she doesn’t want to see me or she doesn’t like my father – I don’t know what it is.”
Williams’ response? “I don’t think so,” she said in her signature raspy voice. “I think he’s childish.”
The “Hot Bench” host continued: “She’s a woman who looks out for herself, not others. She just doesn’t know how to be nice to people.”
Esterman said he was heartbroken by Williams’ comments and that the split has been hard on his children.
“My kids don’t understand the situation,” he said. “They think I’m being mean to their mother. I don’t want to hurt my kids, but I want to be with my children.”
Esterman and Williams’ divorce was finalized in March, but the couple said at the time that they wouldn’t be getting back together.
“I don’t think we will get back together, but I still care about her,” Esterman said. “We are not together anymore and she has moved on, but I still care about her.”
Esterman says he has no plans to go public with his story and would like to remain private.
“I’m just trying to move on with my life and forget about it,” he said. “I don’t want any more bad press from her. I just want her to be a good person and be nice.”
